As families seek refuge, we must remember that the kingdom of God is like a bush providing shelter and shade. To sow God’s kingdom means that we welcome the refugee and migrant seeking safety and respite.

On Palm Sunday, Jesus openly challenges the civil authorities and the status quo. Instead of a war horse, a donkey. Instead of scarcity, abundance. Instead of punishment, forgiveness. Instead of hatred, love. 

It is easy to be powerful if you have money and the right connections, but that's not real power. Real power comes from an authentic voice willing to be vulnerable to share Truth to those in power.

We live in crazy times where children go hungry, people are oppressed, and the lonely are abandoned - just like Jesus during these three days of Holy Week. Our call to justice is to stand with those who suffer now, and keep striving toward Sunday. Because SUNDAY IS COMING! 

We may worship God differently, but we all agree on one thing. God has called us to do justice in our world. 

Healthcare isn't about the rich or poor, it is about whether or not we want to take care of each other. 

In the coming days, we’ll be learning more about Governor Kasich’s proposed Ohio budget. And during that time, we’ll be asked to reflect on what the budget says about our priorities as a state.
